It’s a New Day

A New Day

We had a brief reprieve from the smoke from wildfires this morning. I captured this shot at about 7 a.m. this morning. We had some clouds pass through our area last night but did not receive any rain and thankfully no lightning. Firefighters continue to battle wildfires in our state that have burned over 100,000 acres. The western edge of the fire nearest us is about 75 miles away. The temperatures have cooled some as of late with daytime temperatures in the low to mid 90’s. Nighttime temperatures have been in the 50’s with the exception of last night when our low was 68 degrees.

    • Thanks for stopping by. Like the sunrise, we start each day with new hope. The forests are being cleaned with the fire and new growth will come forth in the years ahead. We pray for safety for those fighting the fire.

      • Indeed it’s true! Hope should never fade and faith will always protect. Lately typhoon’s are ravaging also the south part of Taiwan, one after another, one place is burned by fire, other ravaged by furious winds and water, but in the end there s always a new sunrise after a each storm ! all the best and thanks for sharing 🙂

  1. Fires and fantastic sunsets as a result in our area as well. The edge of the nearest fire to us was only 10-15 miles away. The smoke has cleared and we have fresh are again! Beautiful picture 🙂
