Looking Ahead

Well it’s Tuesday and the sun is shining so brightly. I walked out through my orchard to see if any of my fruit trees were getting ideas about spring budding and thankfully they are still asleep for now.
Here is a thought for you to ponder…what happens when we try to make things happen before it is time? What happens when we aren’t in sync with what is happening around us?
Give me your feedback. I want to hear your experiences and thoughts on this topic. My ear is pressed to the window waiting to hear from you.

  1. I loved the thoughts about our efforts to make things happen before the right time. When we use our own efforts to “make” something happen before its time, God’s plan is thwarted and sometimes aborted, in which case the life of God is not in it. The “fruit” picked too early ceases to develop, shrivels and will never develop or grow into the fully developed fruit it was designed to be. The same is true for us. When we try to make things happen by our own efforts, we interfere with God’s plan, cause needless pain to ourselves and to others in the process, missing the blessings He intended. We should take our hands off God’s work, leaving things in His hands. He alone has the wisdom to weave things together in circumstances in such a way that He will be glorified and we will be blessed in ways we cannot imagine. His Word says in Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us: “To everything there is a season, a “time” for every purpose under heaven.”
